Domis Construction have been working with Eco-Readymix for two years and together we have completed some prestigious projects. None are more prestigious though as the Anchorage at Media City, Salford, Manchester.
Rumoured to be the tallest brick faced building in Europe, Domis have created a highly impressive high rise apartment block in one of the most bustling areas of Manchester.
Following several meetings with the client and their brickwork contractor “Kinlan Brickwork” it was decided that the best option for this project given the volume of mortar required on a daily basis, would be an Eco-Readymix DSM silo. Not having a huge footptint, the floor space was tight and having a silo also reduced the amount t of daily traffic coming in and out of the site.
As a result of these meetings, the client chose to build with Eco-Readmix natural class 3 mortar as they were looking for a mid to pale brown colour.
The workmanship of the brickwork and the final finish of the build looks stunning and blends in really well with other high rises across this ever growing city.
On a project of this magnitude it was imperative that we sourced a reliable company with a long standing record of supplying to large structures and a company who are able to provide regular accurate testing and a mortar that could withstand the challenges that working at this height can involve.
The mortar provided by Eco-Readymix through their state of he art silo was of a consistantly high standard and their state of the art sensory system in the silo ensured that we were able to complete the project on time. As a business we are currently working with Eco-Readymix silos on a number of other projects in the Manchester area and their service and on-site support is invaluable to our operation.
