Eco-Readymix is celebrating an important milestone this year – our 10 year anniversary.
We have been trading since 2008 and it has been a wonderful 10 years for our family run business which has grown at a rapid rate.
Founded by Managing Director Gary Billington at the current plant in Wrexham with just two wagons, Eco-Readymix now has a second plant at Ellesmere Port which has been running for six years and boasts a fleet of 25 wagons and 42 staff, including 30 drivers.
To celebrate the achievement, 10th-anniversary wreaths will be displayed on all wagons, and we hosted a client corporate day on September 14 at Chester Races.
Gary, who has more than 30 years’ experience in the mortar business, founded his previous mortar company and built it up to a nationwide supplier before selling it to a global brand.
After he sold up, Gary had multiple big-name house builders/construction companies contact him to say that due to him leaving the industry, it now lacked a supplier who offered a first-class service and product along with a personal touch.
And so, Eco-Readymix was born and quickly grew into the pioneering company it is today.
“It’s a wonderful achievement to be able to celebrate reaching 10 years. We have come a long way in a very short space of time, and we now work with some of the industry’s biggest names and are continually expanding in all areas of the business to cope with the increased demand.”
“We are growing all the time and are looking forward to another successful 10 years.”
The team have also made it their mission to give back to the community, having raised thousands of pounds for charity over the years. Towards the end of 2018 Gary raised an incredible £10,000 for Ronald McDonald House in the Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, Liverpool, by cycling 1000 miles from Wrexham in North Wales to Modena in Italy.
